Long Version: For nearly a decade, Cypritech has operated a professional computer repair shop from our office in downtown Dayton, Texas, offering a broad range of on-demand repair services. During this time, we’ve monitored the changing trends in the computing industry and closely evaluated the shifting habits of consumers. Three years ago, as these winds of change were becoming more noticable, we began to examine our business model and our approach to the industry, considering how we might best adapt to the changing market.
In 2017, we launched Cypritech managed services, placing a special focus on preventative and proactive maintenance for commercial customers. We’ve continued to serve all customers in our shop on a limited basis (usually by appointment only). As we’ve made great strides in our managed service offerings to commercial customers, it has become clear that maintaining our computer shop has become antithetical to our long-term goals as a company and perhaps unnecessary in the changing consumer market.
Therfore, on Friday, September 7, 2018, we have officially discontinued the computer shop service offering. We realize this may come as a disappointment to many of our faithful customers, and we certainly understand. Operating our shop has allowed us to serve thousands of customers and establish many wonderfully long-lasting relationships over the past 9+ years. But rest assured, while our office is no longer open to the public, we are still here to serve you and we look forward to continuing to do so for many years to come.
Cypritech on-demand services (onsite & remote) are still available by appointment, and we are excited to announce that residential customers (like our commercial customers) will soon be able to take advantage of our proactive/preventative managed service offerings. It is our expectation that these changes will allow us to better serve all our customers, even if it means enduring a few growing pains. We hope you will continue this journey with us.
